FAMILY THERAPY PROGRAM

The Family Therapy Program is an intensive program offered to youth who are at risk or already in out-of-home placement, is considered to be a danger to themselves and others (at risk for suicide, runaway, promiscuity, and at-risk causing injury to persons or property) and have been identified as having behavioral and emotional problems that impact their ability to function successfully in the home, school, and/or community settings. The service includes weekly individual and family counseling and targeted case management services, with the average length of service being 12-24 weeks. Treatment predominantly takes place in the office setting. 

  • Individual and Family Counseling (both weekly services are required for this program)

  • Behavioral modification and coping skills,

  • Modeling,

  • Crisis intervention,

  • Target Case management and,

  • As needed, client-centered consultation and advocacy with teachers/school personnel, cabinet workers, and attorneys.

Suppose a youth does not qualify for the Intensive Family Therapy Program. In that case, they may be eligible for individual outpatient counseling that includes assistance with behavior modification and parent coaching on a needed basis as determined by the assessment and your treatment team.

BEHAVIOR MODIFICATION & PARENT COACHING

  • Enhanced family services allow individuals to find effective ways of responding to their family member's concerns, dealing with their reactions, addressing common behavior problems, and ultimately improving the client's functioning and the family unit as a whole. Outpatient individual counseling services can include family counseling that includes behavior modification and parent coaching counseling on an as needed basis as determined by the assessment and your treatment team.
