• FamilyCare offers strong outpatient continuum of care plans and integrated wraparound services under one roof. We act as a recovery health access point to assist with screening, case management, and active referral to treatment and recovery support services; this initiative is a game-changer for the Northern Kentucky Bluegrass Region.

• Mental health and Drug/Alcohol Assessments, and Screenings, and care coordination will help identify the appropriate level of care, offer assistance on recovery information, and give referrals to help navigate treatment options in our community.

• Comprehensive Assessment & Screening is a process of evaluation and goal setting at your assessment and intake appointment. It is an opportunity for your treatment team to learn the presenting problems, a chance for you to ask questions and gauge the goodness of fit with your therapist. Sometimes, a therapeutic issue is a better fit for another therapist; if that is the case, you will be offered a referral to a different therapist. Our priority is to provide a good fit in a therapist to help you meet your needs as quickly and efficiently as possible. For minors, you can expect some portion of the first session to be spent with the parent/guardian in the room (minimal discussion of privacy laws, clinic policy, and financial concerns) and some time with the minor alone. This will vary depending on the child's age and presenting issues.

  • MOST INTAKE SESSIONS CONSIST OF:

    • An introduction between you and your therapist

    • Brief description of what you hope to achieve in therapy

    • A discussion of privacy laws, clinic policy, and fees

    • Some collection of personal and family history

    • Therapeutic recommendations and a mutually agreed upon plan for how to proceed
